BEST began in 1978, when two brothers started canning the fruit of the family plantation at Meniet Samanoud. The first products reached Egyptian shops a year later.

The family still fills every bottle, jar, carton and doypack on its own lines, and still makes its own tin cans and twist-off caps in 6th of October City.

The company is founded

Egyptian Canning Company is founded. The wordmark has carried SINCE 1978 ever since.

1979

First product reaches market

Production begins the following year, and the first BEST products reach Egyptian shops.

The doypack comes to Egypt

BEST pioneered the stand-up pouch in the Egyptian market. It is the format a generation actually remembers holding.

We make the can, and the cap

A separate factory in 6th of October City manufactures BEST's own tin cans and twist-off caps, and sells them to other producers. Almost no food brand can say this.

Today

Four plants, one standard

ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, BRCGS and HALAL. The main plant sits on the Shishiny plantation at Meniet Samanoud, Aga, Dakahlia.
